What big windows you have!

All the better to see outside with!

We now have in 15 windows! Only 18 more (or so) to go! Wahoo! Most of those are on the first floor so it will be much easier and faster.

We met one of the brothers who lived in the house as a kid this weekend. It was great talking to him. I can't wait to learn more about it!

2nd floor windows almost done

We almost have all of the windows from the second floor installed!  We only lack 4!  We are so excited!  These are the most difficult to install because they have to be installed using a ladder, which is very difficult.

The bottom windows will be much easier to install, and will go much, much easily and quickly!  Once this is done, we can begin the installation of the siding!  Just in time for a little relief from the summer heat.  Hopefully.  We will post photos soon, it actually looks like a nice house now!

Pink gloves= lots of work done

Sent from my iPhoneWe didn't get any windows in, but that's because we decided to wrap the entire house first, instead of sections. We almost wrapped it all, but pooped out. It's 6:30 and still 105+ outside. Too hot for this girl!

Girls work too!

I have had the hardest time finding work gloves that fit, so finding cute ones was completely unheard of. Until tonight. Thanks to Home Depot, I now have cute girl gloves that fit me! Hooray! I can't wait to get to work tomorrow!

We are putting in windows, which will be nice, since it is the 37th day of 100+ weather so far this year here. Hopefully a cool front will come.

Still naked!

She's still naked! She has lost even more. No windows now, but new ones are coming.

So pretty

This was from the top of our front door.

She's naked!

I know it's been a while, but we've been very busy!  With the record setting heat and drought, we have still been working on the outside of the house (crazy, I know).

We realized that in order to put in new windows, we had to remove all of the old siding.  It was just in too bad of shape, and wasn't going to work.  So, with the help of Mom & Roger, we removed all of the old siding in a matter of days.

We have now almost completely removed all of the old windows and decked the house with the help of dad, and David (our very handy hired help).  We have found some great wood siding that is very close to the original that will look great up there!
