It's been a while since I've updated! There isn't a lot of visual progress to show, but we have been working really hard the past few months. I take that back- Mitchell has been working really hard. I have not!
Here are some of the things we have accomplished:
1. railing on the porches and steps on the side door (insurance made us)
2. stairs to the 3rd floor removed
3. floor replaced in both bathrooms
4. studs reinforced
5. trees cut down
We are moving along! We are hoping to be done by November so we can be settled before the baby comes! Yes, the baby, we are having a little Davis in early December! See- I'm not lazy, I just can't do much work...

Stripping... Paint that is.
I have been a stripper lately. Not the kind you find in a dark building with lots of $1 bills and adult beverages. I am stripping the many, many, layers of paint on the staircase. It is such a tedious job, stripping paint on the little posts on the staircase, with all of the pretty little details.
Does anyone have tips on paint stripping? I would really like to learn an easier way to get this paint off!

Light fixture crazy!
I can't stop! I found this beauty at The Rink in Bethany for $12! What a steal. Good thing Mitchell knows how to rewire them. Can't wait to put them all up.

Wow!
It was too cold for this girl to work outside today, so I finally got to do some real work inside! I stripped the paint on the post on the stairwell, and was pleasantly surprised with the results. I forgot to take a before photo, but fortunately (or not) I still have a few more to show what the before was.
This took about 3 hours and I got 3 of the sides done. It's gonna be a long ride, unless I find a better way to do it!

The front is sided!
It's amazing what you can do in one day. Look at the two photos, ones from yesterday and ones from today. Yea!
