Light fixture crazy!

I can't stop! I found this beauty at The Rink in Bethany for $12! What a steal. Good thing Mitchell knows how to rewire them. Can't wait to put them all up.

  1. Hi! I just found your blog, and love it! My wife and I hope to restore an American Foursquare house in the future, if fate allows it. Your house is looking beautiful.

Are there any problems with mold in the house? Is that why you decided to rip out the walls? Or was it just to replace the electrical parts and plumbing?

Feel free to check out our blog at: thevellemas.blogspot.com

  2. Thanks Neal and Laura! We are having a great time with our restoration!

We decided to take out the walls for a couple of reasons- 1. The house had been vacant for 10 years, and there was a hole in the roof which caused leaking, 2. We wanted to insulate- there was no insulation between the lap and plaster and the outside boards, which would have made for a VERY cold winter! and 3. To replace the electrical, plumbing, and add central heat and air.

I am excited to check out your blog!
